Classes, Workshops, Sound Baths Terms and Conditions

By booking or attending a class (online or in-person), workshop or event (“defined as class/es” below), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully.

1. Bookings & Payments

- All classes must be paid for in advance.

- Cancellations: Once paid, classes are non-refundable.

- Transfers: Class bookings can be transferred to another date, person, or event within a set timeframe.

- No-Shows: Failure to attend a class (in-person or online) will result in the booking being forfeited.

2. Behaviour & Conduct

- Respect for the teacher(s), other participants and the practice is expected at all times.

- Disruptive, aggressive or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated. You may be asked to leave without refund.

- In-person participants must treat the venue, staff, and facilities with care. Any damage caused may result in liability for repair or replacement.

3. Health & Safety

- Participation is at your own risk. By joining any class, you confirm that you are fit to take part and have consulted with a qualified medical professional regarding any medical conditions, injuries or concerns.

- The practices taught may involve physical movement, Breathwork, meditation and other energetic techniques. You accept full responsibility for monitoring your own body and wellbeing during the class.

- If you feel unwell or experience pain, stop immediately and seek appropriate support.

4. Photography & Video Consent

- By attending our classes, workshops, or events, you acknowledge and consent that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken during the session. These may be used by for promotional purposes, including (but not limited to) our website, social media channels, newsletters and other marketing materials.

- If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, please inform the teacher prior to the class. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, we cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all media captured in group settings.

5. Liability Waiver

- By attending a class, you release the organisers, teachers, staff and venue from any and all liability for injuries, damages or losses that may occur before, during or after participation.

- We are not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged at venues or during online sessions.

6. Intellectual Property

- All class content (recordings, exercises, materials, methods) is the intellectual property of the organisers and teachers. It may not be recorded, shared or reproduced without prior written permission.

7. General

- We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website.

- By attending, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Retreats Terms and Conditions

1. Booking Conditions

- No booking contract will exist and your booking is not confirmed until we have received your completed booking form, deposit payment and accepted Terms & Conditions. Once done, you will receive a booking confirmation email from us.

- Once your booking is confirmed and we have received your payment, the prices are guaranteed and will not change, unless an amendment is made to your booking.

- If we do not receive full payment by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking, and you will lose your deposit.

- We reserve the right to change or adjust prices at any time before you make your booking.

2. Insurance

- Guests must have their own travel insurance to join a retreat with us which will cover them in the event that they are unable to attend due to illness, bereavement or any other personal reason.

- We strongly recommend all guests take out the necessary travel insurance at the time of making their booking.

3. Retreat Cancellation by You

- As mentioned under Insurance, guest must have their own travel insurance which will cover them in the event that they are unable to attend due to illness, bereavement or any other personal reason.

- Though our spaces are limited we always endeavour to treat cancellations sympathetically.

- Please do read and understand our Cancellation Policy before making a reservation. If you proceed with a booking it will be deemed that you have read and accepted our Cancellation Policy below:

4. Cancellation Policy

- If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing. If you do not provide us with any notice of cancellation and do not attend the retreat, you remain liable for 100% of the booking fee.

- Auric Alchemist does not offer cash, credit / debit card or bank transfer refunds for any reason. 

- Should you wish to receive a refund for your booking, this will need to be done via your travel insurance. We can assist by providing any necessary paperwork for your claim.

- Should you need to cancel, you will be able to transfer your booking to another person of the same gender for the same retreat and room space you originally booked.

- Day retreat tickets are non-refundable. Once purchased, these tickets cannot be cancelled, and no refunds will be issued for any reason. We appreciate your understanding in this matter as it allows us to effectively plan and organise our day retreats. If there are any changes to the day event schedule, we will make reasonable efforts to inform ticket holders in advance.

5. Retreat Cancellation by Us

- We have never cancelled a retreat for any reason within our control but reserve the right in certain circumstances to cancel a retreat, in which case we will offer a full refund of all monies paid within 5 working days. 

- Should we have to cancel due to reasons beyond our control or through force majeure, a credit will be offered for you to attend the reschedule retreat dates or another retreat within a determined timeframe (usually one year from your original retreat date).

6. Retreat Conditions

- You shall keep all venue fixtures, fittings, furniture and effects in good condition and agree to replace any items which are destroyed, damaged or missing with an item of a similar kind and/or of equal value.

- You shall refrain from any illegal activities or any behaviour that will be offensive or cause harm to another guest or retreat organisers.

- You shall ensure that you are medically, mentally and physically fit to take part in the retreat and to make use of any of the facilities on retreat. Should you have any illnesses or injuries, it is advised to seek medical advice prior to joining us.

- Owing to the nature of the retreat and holding a sacred space for all on the retreat, we ask that guests do not leave the retreat venue, unless it is during the allocated free time.

- Should there be a breach of any of the above retreat conditions, we reserve the right to request you to leave on your own accord or to remove you from the retreat venue.

8. Food & Dietary Requirements

We are happy to cater for most dietary requirements and mild intolerances. If you have a severe dietary need or medical condition, please contact us before booking to confirm whether we can accommodate your needs.

9. Changes of Schedule

- We reserve the right to slightly change the advertised schedule should it be deemed necessary for us to do so.

10. Disclaimer

- Auric Alchemist does not accept any liability for theft or damage to personal possessions; personal injuries or medical conditions that develop during or after the retreat. Auric Alchemist is also not liable for any costs, cancellations or charges incurred as a result of fire, natural disaster, problems with transport, passport, visa or vaccination issues or any other events beyond our control.

- We understand that discussions around mental health, including topics like depression, anxiety, and personal challenges, may arise during our retreats. However, it's crucial to note that our instructors and retreat leaders are not qualified mental health professionals. While our team will create an open and supportive environment for guests to share and connect, they cannot offer medical or psychological advice.

11. Advisory Note

- I understand that participating in a Auric Alchemist retreat is entirely at my own risk. I understand my own body’s challenges and take full responsibility for my own practice.
