Known as the “yoga of awareness,” it combines movement, breathwork, meditation, and mantra to activate the flow of life force energy (kundalini) that rests at the base of the spine.

Through specific sequences called kriyas, rhythmic breathing, and the repetition of sacred sounds, Kundalini Yoga helps clear energetic blockages, calm the nervous system, and expand consciousness.

What Is Kundalini Yoga?

Tuning In

Usually begins with the mantra “Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo” meaning “I honour the divine teacher within” to set intention and connect to higher.

Kriyas (Sets)

Structured sequences of postures, movements, and breathing techniques designed to achieve specific outcomes (e.g. boosting energy, balancing hormones, calming the mind).

Breath control is central, powerful techniques like Breath of Fire or Long Deep Breathing are used to stimulate energy and cleanse the system.

Pranayama (Breathwork)

Mantra and Chanting

Mantras are sacred sound vibrations, their rhythmic repetitions soothe the nervous system, help focus the mind and shift energy patterns. Over time, they help dissolve mental noise and open the heart chakra creating a deeper sense of peace, clarity and connection to yourself.

Guided or silent meditations help integrate the energy released during kriyas, bringing mental clarity and calm.
